The eagerly anticipated Sora amiibo is at last slated for release next year. Alongside this exciting news, Nintendo has also revealed the launch dates for the Tears of the Kingdom and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 amiibo figures.
Amiibo enthusiasts can breathe a sigh of relief as Nintendo has finally confirmed the arrival of the Sora amiibo. Unveiled during today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, Sora from Kingdom Hearts will be gracing us with his own amiibo sometime in the upcoming year. This marks the culmination of the Super Smash Bros. amiibo Series, a decade after its inception and the release of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS in 2014.
Due to Sora’s affiliation with Disney, many amiibo collectors harbored concerns that we might never see a Sora amiibo. Fortunately, for those striving to complete their Smash amiibo collection, this long-awaited addition is now on the horizon.
That’s not the sole amiibo-related announcement from today’s presentation. On November 3, Zelda and Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are set to make their debut, while Noah and Mio from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will join the fray on January 19, 2024. The two Zelda characters will be available individually, while Noah and Mio will be bundled together as a 2-pack.
In other amiibo news, Nintendo is also gearing up to release the Splatoon 3 amiibo, featuring the beloved idols Shiver Frye and Big Man, scheduled for release on November 17.
