Destiny 2 has undergone significant changes since its early days, particularly in terms of customization options and buildcrafting. With the upcoming expansion, The Final Shape, Bungie aims to address class balance and design by introducing new tools for all classes.
This expansion is especially exciting for Titans as it finally fulfills a long-standing need for a new power fantasy. In this article, we will explore the evolution of Destiny 2’s buildcrafting, the specific requirements of Titans, and how The Final Shape introduces the Twilight Arsenal Super to fill the gap in their gameplay experience.
Destiny 2’s Buildcrafting Evolution and Customization Options
Destiny 2 has come a long way since its launch, transforming from a game with limited customization options to one that offers a plethora of choices to players. From weapon perks to Origin Traits and Aspects and Fragments for subclasses, Destiny 2 Strand has been lauded as an accessible and unique addition to the game. These changes have allowed players to personalize their playstyle experience like never before, making buildcrafting an integral part of the game.
The Need for New Power Fantasy for Titans
While Destiny 2 has made strides in providing diverse playstyles for different classes, Titans have often been left wanting more variety. Hunter Exotics and abilities tend to focus more on PvP content rather than PvE, leaving Titans at a disadvantage when it comes to exploring different ways to play the game. One particular area where Titans have struggled is in the lack of non-melee non-roaming Super options for supportive playstyles.
Introducing Twilight Arsenal Super for Void Titans
The Final Shape expansion aims to rectify this issue by introducing the Twilight Arsenal Super specifically designed for Void Titans. During the Bungie Showcase event, Bungie revealed this exciting addition, which allows Void Titans to throw three massive Void-infused axes at their enemies from a distance. This instant-cast ability not only deals damage but also pulses, pulling nearby enemies towards the axes. Furthermore, the axes can be picked up by players or their allies, providing additional tools of destruction.
Ranged and Supportive Playstyles for Titans
Twilight Arsenal is a game-changer for Titans as it fills a crucial gap in their gameplay experience. It offers both a ranged option for those who prefer to play from a distance and a supportive option that enhances group play. With the ability to pull enemies towards the axes and allies being able to pick them up, Twilight Arsenal promotes teamwork and coordination among players. This Super provides Titans with the much-needed support options to compete with Warlocks in endgame viability.
