Street Fighter™ is one of the most iconic fighting game franchises that has been around for over three decades. The series has seen various iterations and has been a fan favourite since its inception. Now, Capcom is all set to release Street Fighter™ 6 on June 1, 2023, and it has been creating quite a buzz in the gaming community.

New Features and Gameplay

Street Fighter™ 6 promises to be a whole new experience for players. The game introduces new characters, including Akira Kazama from Rival Schools, and brings back fan favourites such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and many more. The gameplay has also been revamped with new mechanics and features.

One of the most significant changes is the addition of the V-Shift mechanic. This new move allows players to dodge attacks and counter-attack with a new move. It adds a new layer of strategy to the gameplay and can be a game-changer in high-level matches.

Another new feature is the EX gauge, which allows players to perform EX moves by spending their metres. These moves deal more damage and can turn the tide of a match in seconds.

Street Fighter™ 6 also introduces a new mode called “Rival Rumble,” where players can fight against their friends or online players in a tag-team format. The game also has a new training mode where players can practice combos and learn new moves without having to face opponents.

Closed Beta Impressions

The closed beta for Street Fighter™ 6 was held earlier this year, and players who were lucky enough to participate had the opportunity to provide feedback on the game before its official release. Initial impressions were positive, with many players praising the game’s mechanics and graphics.

The V-Shift mechanic, a new addition to the franchise, was also well-received, with players noting that it added an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay. However, some players also reported issues with matchmaking and lag, which will hopefully be addressed before the game’s release on June 1, 2023.

Graphics and Visuals

Street Fighter™ 6 features a significant upgrade to its graphics and visuals compared to previous games in the franchise.

The game boasts a new, more modern art style with high-resolution textures, detailed character models, and impressive particle effects. The environments are also more interactive and dynamic, with destructible elements that can impact the flow of combat.

The improved graphics and visuals help to immerse players in the game’s world and make the battles feel more intense and exciting.

Additionally, the game’s visual effects are designed to be both visually stunning and easy to follow, making it easier for players to understand what’s happening on the screen.

Street Fighter™ 6 looks to be a worthy addition to the iconic franchise, with impressive graphics, diverse characters, and new mechanics that promise to shake up the gameplay. Although there were some reported issues during the closed beta, the overall reception has been positive. Fans of the series and newcomers alike can look forward to the game’s release on June 1, 2023.
